WWP Partners with Leeward Renewable Energies
White Whale Pictures is excited to announce that we’ve partnered with Leeward Renewable Energies for a nearly year-long project that will document the company’s wind farm initiative in Guadalupe County, New Mexico. Leeward will be bringing down 90 of their current wind turbines and replacing them with 86 newer models. WWP will be using high end drones, 4k time lapse and ground footage, along with interviews, to tell the story of the process.

On this date in 2011, at the Smith Rafael Theater in San Rafael, Californina, Justin and Metallica’s James Hetfield came together for the first of several sold out screenings that the two would attend together for Justin’s documentary feature, Absent. It was the first of two films that the pair would collaborate on, the second film Addicted to Porn: Chasing the Cardboard Butterfly, Hetfield would narrate.
WWP Animated Series Wins National Safety Award
The Interstate Mining Compact Commission has announced that the animated video series ‘Coyote and Oleta’ is the 2021 winner of the National Mine Safety and Health Training Award. The series was created by White Whale Pictures in partnership with Navajo Transitional Energy Company and North American Coal: Bisti Fuels.
WWP Signs Agreement with Balcony 9 Productions
White Whale Pictures is very excited to announce that we have signed an Attachment Agreement with Balcony 9 Productions out of Los Angeles to represent our latest feature length film. Balcony 9, spearheaded by Joel David Moore (Avatar, Dodgeball), will partner with WWP in representing the film to potential financiers and distributors, including the likes of HBO, Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Originals.
Production Underway on New Documentary Series
Although we have to remain hush-hush on the subject for the time being, we can (and are very excited) to announce that White Whale Pictures is now in production on a new, five-part documentary series. The film is being written and directed by WWP owner, Justin Hunt, who is also producing the film along side Michael Jones of Silver Heart Productions.
WWP to Partner with Award-Winning Tattoo Artist
We like to keep things fresh here at White Whale Pictures, and our latest client is a great example of that! We’re very excited to announce that we’re partnering with award-winning tattoo artist, Aldo Gallegos, of Archetype Tattoo Studios in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We’ll be doing an individual promotional video for him, utilizing creative shooting techniques, special visual effects, high energy score and professional voice over.
Berkshire Hathaway Energy Hires White Whale Pictures, Inc.
Berkshire Hathaway Energy, in conjunction with TCB Energy out of Texas, hired WWP to produce and create an explainer video, animated entirely in 3D. BHE is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, one of the ten largest companies in the world. The project was completed earlier this year, but release of the collaboration was put on hold until the product was made more available to the public. We couldn’t be more proud of this partnership!
Bisti Fuels Expands Animated Coyote Video to Episodes 2 & 3
Earlier this year, WWP was hired to create an animated safety video featuring a coyote, a prominent character in Navajo culture, for Bisti Fuels. The video was narrated primarily is Navajo and was released to employees in July.

According to Clutch.com, White Whale Pictures has been ranked the #1 Video Production company in the Albuquerque/Santa Fe area, topping a list of over 40 other video production houses. We’re also ranked #3 in Colorado Springs, where we still have a production office. That out of 44 firms in the Colorado Springs area.
Private Funding to be Matched for ‘The Post’
White Whale Pictures is actively seeking private investors to finance the production of our latest project, The Post. Those funds will then be matched by a partnering production company and distributor, which will also step in to aide in procuring high level talent for the film.
